Brushing the teeth

Brushing the teeth
It is compulsory soon after getting up and again before sleep at night; provided any diseases of oral cavity are absent.

It should be done with herbal preparations only and not with chemicals.

Few of herbs available throughout world are Acacia catechu, Terminalia arjuna, Pongamia, triphala, rock salt. Even though text says to use sticks from these plants, use of brush and powders of above plant barks with oil i.e. 100:5 ratio is beneficial Since it is ecological and economical. This prevents oral infections and bad breath.

Method: - Don't use brushes with too hard or too soft bristles, don't brush too fast or too slow and for long time as any work needs to be done in a reasonable manner not in a non-mechanical manner.

Mouth wash/ freshener with chemicals to prevent bad breath is not advisable as cause of bad breath is improper digestion / defecation
